Tom Lee says the crypto bull market began in late June
In BitMine’s weekly report, Chairman Tom Lee said the crypto bull market began in late June 2026. He cited a rotation of capital from AI stocks into crypto assets, strengthening crypto fundamentals centered on tokenization and AI, and a four-year cycle bottom.
Lee also said ETH has outperformed the S&P 500 by more than 6,519 basis points so far in the third quarter, making it the world’s best-performing macro asset. In his view, Ether’s sharp outperformance in the third quarter is a prelude to a stronger rally in the fourth quarter. He added that institutions were underallocated to crypto assets in the first half of 2026 because of strong AI stock performance, and said allocations are expected to rise sharply in the fourth quarter, potentially adding upside to gains since June 30.
Lee is also set to deliver a keynote speech at Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul on Sept. 30.
