LAS VEGAS — Bitmine Immersion Technologies (NYSE AMERICAN: BMNR) announced a $200 million equity investment into Beast Industries, the company behind YouTube creator MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson). The deal is expected to close on or about January 19, 2026.
Betting on Creator Economy with DeFi Ambitions
Thomas “Tom” Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, called MrBeast and Beast Industries "the leading content creator of our generation," highlighting their unmatched reach with GenZ, GenAlpha, and Millennials. Beast Industries CEO Jeff Housenbold said the capital will help the firm become "the most impactful entertainment brand in the world" and explore integrating DeFi into a forthcoming financial services platform. Beast Industries owns Feastables snacks and runs philanthropic initiatives like #TeamTrees and #TeamSeas. MrBeast's YouTube channels boast over 450 million subscribers and 5 billion monthly views.
Ethereum Treasury Strategy: Chasing 5% of All ETH
Bitmine describes itself as the world's leading Ethereum treasury company, following a "alchemy of 5%" philosophy — aiming to accumulate 5% of all Ether in circulation. The firm uses ETH as its primary reserve asset, leveraging native staking and DeFi protocols. It plans to launch MAVAN (Made-in-America Validator Network) in Q1 2026, a dedicated staking infrastructure for its assets. The investment in Beast Industries signals a push to bridge mainstream content platforms with on-chain finance.
Notable institutional backers include ARK's Cathie Wood, MOZAYYX, Founders Fund, Bill Miller III, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, Galaxy Digital, and Tom Lee himself.
Annual Meeting and Earnings
Bitmine held its Annual Stockholder Meeting at the Wynn Las Vegas on January 15, 2026, live-streamed on its X account. The company also released its Fiscal Full Year 2025 earnings and corporate presentation. While the press release carries a publication date of July 23, 2026, the core investment terms and strategic direction remain unchanged.
Bitmine focuses on implementing innovative digital asset strategies for institutional and public market participants. The $200 million bet on Beast Industries is both a vote of confidence in creator-driven entertainment and a step toward deploying DeFi capabilities in the consumer economy.
