BitoGroup said it has started the pilot phase of Bito.ONE, its enterprise-grade stablecoin settlement solution, with O-Bank selecting the firm to build an institutional stablecoin settlement service. The partners have also rolled out a corporate cross-border stablecoin collection service and have entered the validation and implementation stage.
According to the company, the project is the first implementation in Taiwan of a collaboration model between a virtual asset service provider, or VASP, and a bank. It covers corporate collections, transaction verification, stablecoin and fiat exchange, and settlement, with plans to extend the service into real corporate use cases.
The article was published as a press release written and provided by BitoGroup.
BitoGroup says the pilot moves stablecoin use into corporate finance
Cheng Kuang-Tai, founder and CEO of BitoGroup, said the financial value of stablecoins lies in their role as a bridge between virtual assets and the existing financial system. He said Taiwan is an important global trade and supply chain hub, and that companies have rigid demand for cross-border fund flows.
Based on the company’s exchanges with enterprises, Cheng said businesses exploring stablecoin use place heavy emphasis on transaction transparency, risk controls, and compliance requirements. He said BitoGroup wants to connect virtual asset services to banks’ existing financial infrastructure through work with financial institutions, and that the pilot with O-Bank is intended to push stablecoins from on-chain applications into corporate finance scenarios.
Companies can receive and send USDT and USDC through online banking
BitoGroup said the core of the pilot is the technical integration and service coordination between a VASP and a financial institution, taking stablecoin collection and payment from concept research to implementation testing. For companies, adopting new payment tools such as stablecoins requires alignment with compliance, internal controls, information security, and accounting management, while also fitting into existing financial operating procedures.
Through Bito.ONE, a company does not need to build its own blockchain system or manage wallets and private keys. Instead, it can use an existing corporate online banking portal to receive and send stablecoins including USDT and USDC. BitoGroup said that setup allows enterprises to connect to stablecoin use with limited changes to current workflows and with lower learning and management costs.
O-Bank introduces a corporate cross-border stablecoin collection service
Hsiao Chih-Yu, senior vice president and head of strategy development at O-Bank, said the bank has continued to monitor corporate clients’ needs in cross-border transactions and fund management. He said the new corporate cross-border stablecoin collection service, launched with BitoGroup, is designed to let business clients gain the efficiency and convenience of stablecoin-based cross-border collections within the bank’s compliance review and risk control framework.
Hsiao said O-Bank will continue to introduce convenient and secure innovative financial services in line with laws and supervisory requirements to help corporate clients expand global business opportunities.
Bito.ONE includes AML, CFT, on-chain flow analysis, and fiat settlement
BitoGroup described Bito.ONE as an institutional-grade stablecoin settlement product built for financial institutions and enterprises. The service combines stablecoin collection and payment, wallet and on-chain transaction management, anti-money laundering, or AML, and countering the financing of terrorism, or CFT, mechanisms, on-chain fund flow analysis, sanctions list screening, transaction monitoring, and fiat settlement.
The company said its modular infrastructure allows financial institutions to integrate functions according to actual business needs, reducing the complexity of in-house development and maintenance while preserving existing client management, account services, compliance review, and risk control processes.
BitoGroup and O-Bank said they have formally entered the implementation verification stage of the pilot. They plan to refine the service based on operating results and explore more use cases in corporate cross-border payments and collections, fund management, and other financial applications.
BitoGroup says it expanded enterprise services after Taiwan’s virtual asset bill passed third reading
The company said that after Taiwan’s virtual asset special act passed its third reading, it launched Bito.Enterprise this year as an enterprise-focused sub-brand built around an open service architecture to help financial institutions and companies connect with Web3 applications. Within that business line, Bito.ONE focuses on enterprise stablecoin settlement, and BitoGroup said it is gradually advancing cooperation with multiple financial institutions.
BitoGroup added that it plans to continue integrating its existing technology and commercialization experience in areas such as point-to-crypto conversion and virtual asset payment gateways, and to work with more financial and industry partners to bring virtual asset services into corporate finance scenarios.
Press release points to moves by major global financial institutions
Looking at international developments, the press release said major global financial institutions are also starting to fold virtual asset services into traditional finance. It cited cooperation between JPMorgan and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase as an example, saying the two sides are promoting links between bank accounts and virtual asset wallets as well as stablecoin application services.
The release added that other large financial institutions are also building out custody, trading, and settlement services for virtual assets, reflecting a model in which institutions and VASPs are jointly developing a new generation of financial services.
