Bitpanda is widening its product lineup beyond crypto. Starting January 29, the Vienna-based platform will offer access to 10,000 stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), giving users a way to trade traditional assets and cryptocurrencies inside a single app.

10,000 stocks and ETFs to go live on January 29

According to the company, the new service will be available across the European Union. Users will be able to trade stocks, ETFs, and crypto on one platform instead of splitting activity across separate brokers and apps. Bitpanda is framing the rollout as part of its push to become a universal exchange, with multiple asset classes handled in one place.

The pricing model is simple. Trades in stocks and ETFs will carry a flat fee of 1 euro per transaction, and the platform said there will be no extra charges for order flow, custody, or withdrawals. That fee structure is meant to make cross-asset investing easier to understand, with fewer layered costs attached to each trade.

Bitpanda says the offering includes real stocks

Bitpanda said the products listed under the new service will be “real stocks,” not tokenized versions. That separates the offer from platforms that use blockchain-based representations of equities instead of direct access to the underlying instruments. The distinction is central to how Bitpanda is positioning this expansion.

Eric Demuth, chairman and co-founder of Bitpanda, described the move as the platform’s “next evolution.” In his view, Bitpanda first focused on making crypto trading accessible and secure, and is now extending that model to bring more asset classes together inside one product.

Crypto exchanges continue to move toward broader finance apps

The rollout fits a wider pattern across the sector. The source notes that exchanges such as Kraken and Coinbase have also begun adding access to traditional financial products including equities and ETFs. The direction is clear: crypto platforms are no longer staying limited to digital assets and are trying to merge elements of traditional finance into their core services.

For Bitpanda, the immediate appeal is portfolio diversification. If users can manage stocks, ETFs, and crypto under one roof, the investing process becomes more centralized and easier to coordinate. With the service opening across the EU, the company is also extending its reach to a broad regional user base.
