Bitway has started its Token Generation Event on March 2, putting BTW into circulation and opening trading from 08:00 UTC. The token made its debut on LBank with the BTW/USDT pair. Deposits opened on March 1, while withdrawals are scheduled for March 3. LBank set a 0.2 trading fee for both makers and takers.
BW Points move into the token economy
The launch also shifts Bitway’s reward system from BW Points into an on-chain token model. According to the project update, all BW Points will be converted into BTW at a 1:200 ratio on BNB Smart Chain. The process is automatic, so eligible users do not need to claim tokens manually. Distribution is set to begin at 9:30 AM UTC on March 2, with tokens sent directly to qualified wallets.
Bitway said BW Point accumulation is temporarily paused during the rollout. At the same time, users who deposited USDT into the Core Alpha strategy will continue receiving 12% APR, keeping that yield product active during the transition.
Binance Alpha access and project backing
Users who joined the Bitway pre-TGE campaign can also trade through Binance Alpha. The project is described as a DeFi platform tied to Binance Alpha and positioned as a gateway connecting global liquidity with on-chain financial opportunities. Bitway was previously known as Side Protocol before the rebrand.
On funding and support, the report says the project is backed by TRON DAO and YZi Labs. It also cites about $5.44 million in funding, while the presale reportedly raised around $7.33 million at an initial price of $0.008, with a fully diluted valuation target of $80 million.
Questions remain over old-brand token conversion
Even with the listing now live, some community members are still focused on conversion issues tied to the project’s earlier branding. Users who joined campaigns in late 2024 say details remain unclear after the name change. Discussion in the community centers on whether former $SIDE holders will receive additional allocations or need to make payments under the updated structure.
Early trading range draws attention
The article cites Oriole Insights as expecting an initial BTW price range between $0.004 and $0.008. That implies an estimated market capitalization of roughly $8.8 million to $17.6 million, or about 0.5x to 1x the token sale price. The same view suggests that if the new yield campaign attracts liquidity and trading volume expands after the airdrop-related conversions, the token could stabilize near the upper end of that range and may even move toward $0.01 during the first weeks of trading.
After the TGE, Bitway plans to launch a new yield campaign that revives BW Point rewards. For now, the market focus is on how the listing performs and whether the conversion process runs as outlined.
