A BlackRock-linked transfer of 2,700 BTC and 52,956 ETH to Coinbase has intensified market scrutiny. Investors are also watching whether Bitcoin can reclaim its 21-day SMA and move back above $65,000 to restore bullish momentum.

Large exchange transfer adds pressure to an already cautious market

Crypto traders are weighing two major signals at once: a notable on-chain transfer and a fragile technical setup for Bitcoin. According to blockchain analytics platform WhaleFactor, a wallet flow linked to BlackRock moved 2,700 BTC to Coinbase, with an estimated value of about $168.6 million. The same transfer stream also included 52,956 ETH, worth roughly $88.1 million, sent to the exchange.

Because large transfers to centralized exchanges are often interpreted as a possible precursor to selling, the move quickly attracted market attention. Still, the report emphasized that there is no confirmed evidence that these assets are being prepared for liquidation. In other words, the transaction has fueled speculation, but it does not by itself prove an imminent sell-off.

Bitcoin’s next move may depend on reclaiming key technical levels

Analyst Michaël van de Poppe said in a June 24 market analysis that Bitcoin’s short-term direction depends on whether it can establish a higher low, a widely watched bullish technical signal. If that structure forms, Bitcoin could attempt another move through resistance. In his view, the first step is to reclaim the 21-day simple moving average, followed by a recovery above $65,000.

If both levels are regained, selling pressure could ease and open the door to a stronger summer rally, with $79,000 returning as a possible upside zone. On the downside, failure to recover those thresholds may deepen current weakness. The more serious risk scenario flagged in the analysis is a drop below $59,000, which could lead to a retest of prior lows.

Institutional flows and macro sensitivity are shaping sentiment

Bitcoin remains the benchmark asset for the broader digital asset market, and its direction often influences risk appetite across altcoins as well. That is especially true in a trading environment already shaped by macroeconomic uncertainty, interest-rate expectations, and growing sensitivity to institutional activity.

For now, investors appear to be watching two things most closely: whether more large transfers head toward exchanges, and whether Bitcoin can recover the 21-day average and the $65,000 zone. A decisive improvement on both fronts could help restore confidence. If not, the market may remain vulnerable to another round of heavier selling and elevated volatility.
