LONDON and NEW YORK – Blockchain.com and Ondo Finance have expanded their partnership to bring regulated, tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to European users. Eligible customers across the European Economic Area (EEA) can now access these real-world assets (RWAs) directly through the Blockchain.com DeFi wallet, eliminating the need for traditional brokerage accounts.
Tokenized Stocks Now Live in 30 EEA Countries
The offering covers 30 EEA states, with over 200 tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs available for purchase, sale, and self-custody. Assets include shares of major companies like Apple and Tesla, as well as precious metals ETFs such as SLVon (Silver) and IAUon (Gold). Users manage everything within the familiar Blockchain.com Wallet interface.
Explosive Growth of Ondo Global Markets
Ondo Global Markets, launched in September 2025, has achieved $556 million in total value locked (TVL) and $8.7 billion in cumulative trading volume. It already provides tokenized stocks to users in Africa and South America through Blockchain.com's DeFi wallet. The platform's rapid adoption underscores growing demand for institutional-grade assets onchain.
Self-Custody Meets Traditional Equities
Peter Smith, CEO and Founder of Blockchain.com, said: “By bringing U.S. equities onchain for our European users, we are providing self-custody solutions through our DeFi wallet that are faster, more efficient and completely self-owned — unmatched by traditional banks.” Ian De Bode, President of Ondo Finance, added: “Extending availability to users across the EEA allows Ondo tokenized stocks and ETFs to reach a previously unavailable segment of the platform’s global user base. We look forward to seeing how this expansion supports adoption as we continue to drive tokenization across global markets.”
This move marks a significant milestone for European investors, granting them seamless access to institutional-grade assets with the simplicity of a digital wallet. All holdings are self-custodied, with private keys in the user's control and onchain settlement.
