According to Techub News, citing CryptoBriefing, Blockworks has completed its acquisition of crypto data platform Messari. The deal is described as Blockworks’ first major move after completing a new funding round, with the aim of bringing together the fragmented data and information industry within the cryptocurrency sector.
The acquisition combines Blockworks’ media operations and investor relations business with Messari’s data platform, which covers more than 40,000 assets. Through the integration, Messari’s data capabilities will become part of Blockworks’ broader business structure, focused on information and data needs around on-chain assets.
Blockworks plans to provide standardized disclosures, due diligence tools and automated workflows for on-chain asset issuers and investors, exchanges, regulators and other participants. The company’s stated goal is to build a single system of record for on-chain markets by combining its existing businesses with Messari’s crypto asset data platform.
