BMAG (Bitcoin Museum & Art Gallery) is staging its first-ever full Card Expo at Bitcoin Asia 2026, Aug 27-28 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The expo blends a world-class trading card show with gallery-level fine art, placing Bitcoin-native merchants at its core.

What the Expo Offers

The merchant marketplace gathers well-known vendors from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. A TCG competition arena offers Bitcoin prizes; a live pack opening stage lets collectors rip boxes on site; grading and authentication services are available. A curated gallery wall showcases selected card collections, original art, and collectibles throughout the venue. Since 2019, BMAG has facilitated over 130 BTC and $10 million in art and collectibles transactions.

Curator Dennis Koch stated: "Bitcoin, art, and collectibles are the same culture. A world-class card expo belongs inside the world's largest Bitcoin conference. Card collectors and Bitcoin believers share the same mindset: what is real, what is rare, what holds value over time." He emphasized that cards and Bitcoin speak the same language of verifiable scarcity, attested authenticity, and market-defined value.

All cards and collectibles in the expo are for purchase and auction, with payments accepted in Bitcoin and other methods. Bitcoin permeates the experience: tournament prizes, vending machines in the expo area, and a first-ever mechanism for merchants to list and sell inventory in BTC. For many merchants, this is their first time accepting Bitcoin for card purchases, making the expo both a marketplace and a Bitcoin onboarding moment. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cards for grading or resale. Museum-grade core exhibits will be announced in the coming weeks.
