According to Binance Research, BNB Chain now boasts over 15 million monthly active stablecoin addresses, ranking first among all blockchains. Competing networks including Ethereum and Solana have also grown, but none match BNB Chain's address count. Back in 2021, BNB Chain's stablecoin user base was negligible; since then it has undergone rapid expansion, cementing its position as the dominant chain for stablecoin transactions.
How Did 15M Addresses Emerge? Low Fees Are Key
Stablecoins drive trading, payments, transfers, and DeFi applications on-chain, serving as a critical foundation for ecosystem activity. Analysts typically interpret a growing stablecoin user base as a sign of higher liquidity and stronger participation. BNB Chain attracts massive retail users thanks to low gas fees and high accessibility. Most on-chain activity involves small-value transfers, boosting address counts. In contrast, Ethereum, despite higher fees, still commands larger capital flows and more institutional-grade transactions.
Address Activity ≠ Capital Concentration: Ethereum's 'Small but Mighty'
High address activity does not automatically translate into greater capital concentration. While BNB Chain leads in users, it does not hold the largest stablecoin market cap or transaction volume. Ethereum maintains higher capital flows and institutional adoption. The report notes that BNB Chain transactions are mostly small, while Ethereum sees larger single-ticket amounts. This distinction matters: strong address activity reflects retail involvement and network utility, but not every user contributes equally to total economic value.
BNB Price Under Pressure: Moving Averages Cap Breakout
Despite the bustling network, BNB's native token price remains weak. BNB currently trades near $573, after a prolonged decline of lower highs and lower lows. Price sits below its 50-, 100-, and 200-day moving averages, signaling that the broader downtrend is intact. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has rebounded toward the neutral 50 mark, suggesting selling pressure is easing, but buyers lack momentum for a meaningful breakout. Immediate resistance lies at the 50-day EMA around $579, with stronger barriers at the 100- and 200-day averages. Whether on-chain activity can eventually translate into price action remains to be seen.
