BNB Chain is set to activate the Pasteur hard fork on its mainnet at 02:30 UTC on Aug. 25, according to Techub News. The upgrade introduces three proposals under BEP-673: stronger bridge verification, secure validator key rotation, and higher block capacity. Pasteur had already gone live on the testnet on July 21. One of the included changes, BEP-675, is expected to raise block throughput from 1,237 TPS to 2,324 TPS. U.Today said the move is aligned with BNB Chain’s roadmap for the second half of 2026, which targets another doubling of mainnet throughput and broader long-term performance improvements.
