Well-known trader Killa said Bitcoin may be more likely to post a bullish reaction at the start of the month because it is entering a new monthly cycle after the market has already built a strong bearish narrative. In his view, past price action shows that when BTC moves into a new phase under clearly negative sentiment, the market often produces a countertrend move instead. He added that this pattern can fail when a major trend shift is close, pointing to November last year as well as February and June this year as examples. Killa said BTC is still trading in a range and is near bear-market lows, leaving two main scenarios on the table: one final break below $57,000, or a rebound starting this month while price remains range-bound. He also argued that even if BTC eventually moves lower afterward, an initial gain of 2% to 4% early in the month would fit the current market structure more closely.

According to ChainCatcher, trader Killa said BTC is entering a new monthly cycle at a time when the market has already formed a strong bearish narrative, making a bullish reaction at the start of the month more likely.

Killa said past price action suggests that when BTC enters a new phase under clearly bearish sentiment, it often sees a move in the opposite direction. He added that this tendency may fail only when a major trend change is about to take shape, citing November last year and February and June this year as examples.

In Killa’s view, BTC remains range-bound and is close to bear-market lows. That leaves two possible paths: a final drop below $57,000, or a rebound beginning this month followed by continued range trading. He also said that even if BTC goes on to fall later, an initial 2% to 4% rise at the start of the month would better match the current market structure.
