ChainCatcher reported, citing Lookonchain, that the same trader who previously lost $3 million on a BTC long position has returned after staying out for 10 days. After coming back, the trader attempted to short BTC, but that trade also failed and added a further loss of $360,000.

Following the failed BTC short, the trader changed direction and moved into an ETH long position. According to the reported data, the trader opened a position of 31,956 ETH using 5x leverage, with a notional position size of approximately $54.98 million. Notional size refers to the total value of the position based on the underlying asset amount; in leveraged trading, it is different from the margin actually posted for the position.

The disclosed sequence shows the trader’s recent activity across BTC and ETH: first a $3 million loss on a BTC long, then a 10-day exit, followed by a return with a BTC short that produced another $360,000 loss. The latest reported move is a leveraged ETH long position with 31,956 ETH at 5x leverage.
