Cole said the latest move in bitcoin price pushed the BTC/XAU ratio back above its 50-week moving average, which he described as a bullish signal. He added that 1 BTC currently buys about 18.55 ounces of gold, up from roughly 15.3 ounces a month ago. Based on that ratio, bitcoin has gained purchasing power against gold over the past month. Cole also said he expects the BTC/XAU ratio to set a new high during the current cycle.
