BTCC, one of the longest-running cryptocurrency exchanges, announced a regional partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA), becoming the official regional partner of the Argentine National Team. The deal spans the full 2026 FIFA World Cup cycle, linking the veteran exchange with a three-time World Cup champion.
Sports marketing push for the seasoned exchange
Founded in 2011, BTCC serves over 11 million users across 100+ countries. It previously signed NBA All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. as its global brand ambassador. The AFA partnership extends its sports marketing footprint beyond that.
Argentina's national team has won three World Cups (1978, 1986, 2022) and is the reigning World Cup and Copa América champion. Aaryn Ling, Head of Branding at BTCC, said: “The strongest partnerships reflect shared identity and ambition. Approaching our 15th anniversary, it marks an important milestone in our global growth.”
Five shared principles underpin the deal
The collaboration is built on five common principles: Excellence, Legacy, Passion, Innovation, Teamwork. AFA President Claudio Fabián Tapia added: “What stood out was not just how long BTCC had been around, but how consistently they earned user trust. That track record made this partnership a natural fit.”
User incentives: signed jersey raffle and trading competition
To mark the partnership, BTCC will run an exclusive lucky draw from April 2 to April 15, 2026, open to all users. Prizes include premium merchandise; the top prize is a jersey signed by Lionel Messi, Julian Alvarez, or Alexis Mac Allister. A trading competition with substantial prize pools and exclusive BTCC x AFA merchandise will launch soon, where users compete on trading volume for signed items. Full details will be published on BTCC's website and official channels.
BTCC reminded that virtual assets carry high risk and prices are volatile, urging users to assess risk tolerance before trading.
