Bubblemaps has introduced Intel Desk, a public investigation platform that uses BMT incentives to help users surface scams, suspicious activity, and cross-chain threats through community-driven research and voting.

Bubblemaps has unveiled Intel Desk, a public investigation platform designed to reward community members for surfacing scams, suspicious wallet behavior, and other questionable onchain activity. The product is being framed as a “Wikipedia of investigations,” where findings are permanent, ranked by impact, and shaped by community participation rather than by a closed internal team.

The launch reflects a broader push within crypto to make transparency more structured and actionable. Instead of relying on scattered posts, informal threads, or ad hoc sleuthing, Bubblemaps is trying to create a system where users can coordinate around live cases, submit documented evidence, and direct attention toward threats that matter most to the community.

A Community Investigation Model Built Around Token Incentives

According to the project’s documentation and announcement on X, participation in Intel Desk is open to users who want to investigate or support specific cases. Community members deposit BMT, allocate it to the investigations they care about, and build reputation by sharing documented proof on X. Those contributions can help users climb public leaderboards, turning investigation work into a measurable and incentivized activity.

The platform operates in weekly cycles. During each cycle, Bubblemaps allocates investigative resources in proportion to the amount of BMT voting support each case receives. That means cases that attract more community backing get more attention and more investigative horsepower. Once the cycle ends, the slate refreshes and users can reallocate their support, allowing priorities to shift as new threats emerge.

This mechanism is meant to formalize what is often an unstructured process in crypto. Onchain detectives already track suspicious flows, wallet clusters, and token movements across networks, but the work is frequently fragmented and undercompensated. Intel Desk attempts to turn that informal labor into a coordinated process with visible incentives and traceable outcomes.

BMT Sits at the Center of the Platform

Bubblemaps says BMT fuels the full Intel Desk experience. The token is used to open and vote on cases, fund bounties, and unlock pro features. By making BMT the core coordination layer, the platform ties participation, prioritization, and rewards into a single token-based framework.

The token is currently live on Solana and BNB Chain, a choice that appears intended to support low-fee and relatively fast user interaction. For a platform focused on rapidly developing exploit investigations and cross-chain threats, execution speed and transaction cost matter. Bubblemaps is effectively positioning Intel Desk as a system that can keep pace with the speed at which modern crypto incidents unfold.

Tokenomics and Distribution Details

Under the hood, BMT has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens across SPL and BEP-20 contracts. At the token generation event, 25.6% of total supply entered circulation, while the rest is set to vest over a four-year period. Bubblemaps also states that multiple audits have been conducted across contracts, migrations, and lock structures.

The published allocation breakdown spans several buckets. These include 21.3% for the ecosystem, 22.17% for airdrops, 19.35% for investors, 12.18% for liquidity, 9% for the team, and 6% for protocol development and research and development. Additional allocations tied to Binance-related distribution channels—such as an IDO, HODLer airdrop, and marketing—each account for roughly 3% to 4%.

One of the most notable details is how the ecosystem bucket is meant to be used. Bubblemaps says 70% of the ecosystem fund is earmarked for Intel Desk incentives, covering rewards for proposers, voters, and contributors. Another 25% is directed toward adoption rewards for Bubblemaps V2, while the remaining 5% is reserved for grants. In practical terms, the project is signaling that a large share of its ecosystem budget is intended to reward investigative participation rather than passive holding.

Transparency as a Product Principle

Nicolas Vaiman, founder and CEO of Bubblemaps, described Intel Desk as a system that gives crypto’s onchain detectives a way to coordinate investigations, identify patterns, and help the industry respond faster to threats. In his view, the launch is not only about rewards, but also about building a more durable accountability layer for a market where trust can deteriorate quickly.

Vaiman said that as trading speeds up and confidence erodes, structured transparency should become the default. That phrase captures the core message behind Intel Desk: transparency in crypto should not depend solely on viral posts or isolated researchers, but on repeatable systems that preserve findings and incentivize follow-through.

Traceability and Public Onchain References

Bubblemaps also pointed to a March 11, 2025 Binance Wallet IDO that allocated 4% of total supply, while listing onchain addresses tied to deployers, vesting contracts, liquidity vaults, and protocol treasuries. By publishing these references, the company is trying to make the token structure and associated funds easier to audit and track over time.

That traceability matters because the credibility of an investigation platform depends not only on what it uncovers, but also on whether its own economic design can be independently examined. In a market that often rewards opacity until something breaks, public address disclosure and documented allocations are being presented as part of the platform’s accountability model.

A Bet on Incentivized Sleuthing

At its core, Intel Desk is a bet that crypto users will participate more actively in risk discovery if the process is both organized and rewarded. Rather than allowing scam exposure to remain volunteer labor scattered across social media, Bubblemaps is offering a framework in which users can propose cases, vote on priorities, and receive compensation for meaningful contributions.

Whether that approach gains lasting traction will depend on several factors: the quality of evidence submitted by users, the fairness of how rewards are distributed, the platform’s ability to surface high-value cases, and the community’s willingness to return week after week to direct resources toward new investigations.

For now, the message from Bubblemaps is straightforward: in crypto, memory and accountability should not be optional. With Intel Desk, the company is trying to turn that idea into infrastructure—using BMT as the incentive rail for community-led investigations across a fast-moving and often opaque digital asset ecosystem.
