Bybit EU has added PayPal as a funding and withdrawal method for users across the European Economic Area, giving customers a new fiat access route under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets, or MiCA, framework. Users can now deposit money into their trading accounts through PayPal or withdraw funds back through the same payment service.
The change reduces reliance on traditional bank transfers for moving between fiat currency and digital assets. For retail users, account funding is often the first barrier to entering crypto markets. A familiar digital wallet can make that step look closer to a standard online payment flow.
PayPal becomes a new on-ramp and off-ramp for EEA users
According to Bybit EU, customers across the EEA can now use PayPal to fund their accounts and withdraw proceeds through the same channel. The setup allows users to move money without opening new banking relationships or waiting for standard bank transfer processing times.
Mazurka Zeng, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Bybit EU, said integrating PayPal is an important milestone in the company’s effort to provide secure, compliant and intuitive access to digital assets. She added that the partnership combines trusted payments with a regulated trading environment, giving users greater confidence as they enter the crypto market.
Samba Natarajan, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Europe at PayPal, said trusted payment experiences matter as more consumers engage with crypto. He said the fiat payment and withdrawal option on Bybit EU gives users access to the growing digital asset ecosystem with the security and familiarity associated with PayPal.
Launch takes place within the EU’s MiCA regime
The rollout comes as MiCA establishes a unified licensing framework for crypto asset service providers operating across the bloc. That framework sets standards on custody, client protection, operational transparency and regulatory reporting.
Bybit EU operates from Vienna and serves customers across the EEA, except Malta, under this structure. In Europe, regulated payment connections are becoming a core part of crypto market infrastructure because they link supervised digital asset services with payment networks users already know.
Promotion includes bitcoin rewards and fee waiver
To accompany the launch, Bybit EU and PayPal are running a promotional campaign for users who top up their accounts through PayPal. Eligible participants may receive up to €30 in bitcoin rewards.
Bybit EU also said it will waive its own fees for fiat deposits made through PayPal for a limited period. The campaign coincides with an update to the latest version of the Bybit EU mobile app, combining payment access, fee relief and user incentives as the platform works to simplify entry into digital asset trading.
