Dubai-headquartered crypto exchange Bybit has launched USDT-settled perpetual contracts for three major foreign exchange pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY. The contracts support round-the-clock trading and offer leverage of up to 100x. They have no expiration date, and all profits and losses are settled in USDT. Traders gain exposure to price movements in the underlying currency pairs, but do not receive ownership of the related currencies. The new contracts have been added to Bybit’s TradFi Perpetuals product line, which the exchange introduced in April. The product line currently covers more than 200 assets, including stocks, commodities, exchange-traded funds and pre-IPO companies. Odaily reported the launch, citing Cointelegraph. The product is structured as a derivatives offering rather than direct foreign exchange ownership, with settlement handled entirely in USDT. Bybit’s newly listed contracts are limited to the three currency pairs named in the report.
