Bybit has revised the application process for its institutional interest-free lending program, according to Odaily. Under the updated mechanism, eligible institutional clients no longer need to meet a preset trading-volume threshold before applying for an interest-free borrowing quota. Once an application passes Bybit’s risk-control review, the loan can be issued.
The exchange also set out how renewals will work. Clients that meet the required trading-volume target during each monthly assessment cycle can renew their interest-free loan. If they fail to meet that target, the loan will be withdrawn. Bybit said the new structure is designed to give institutional clients access to liquidity support earlier, while allowing them to retain interest-free borrowing privileges based on subsequent trading performance.
Bybit has upgraded the application mechanism for its institutional interest-free lending program to better meet the liquidity needs of institutional clients, according to Odaily.
Under the revised process, eligible institutional clients can apply directly for an interest-free borrowing quota without first meeting a specified trading-volume requirement. If the application passes Bybit’s risk-control review, the client can receive the loan.
How the mechanism works
- Direct application: Clients can apply for an interest-free borrowing quota without first reaching a trading-volume threshold.
- Renewal after meeting targets: If the required trading volume is met during the monthly assessment cycle, the interest-free loan can be renewed.
- Withdrawal if targets are missed: If the required trading volume is not met, the loan will be recalled.
Bybit said the mechanism allows institutional clients to obtain interest-free liquidity support in advance and seek to keep those borrowing privileges based on later trading performance.
