Bybit, the second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has launched Bybit AI Skills, a toolbox that allows users to execute trades via natural language through AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Users copy a single line of text to install the skills, then issue commands such as "place a limit buy order for 1 ETH at 3800" or "show my recent trades" to perform over 250 API operations.

From Query to Execution: The AI Agent Workflow

Unlike Bybit's earlier TradeGPT and platform AI bots that focused on market research and trade decisions, AI Skills directly handle execution. The system automatically calls the relevant API, validates data, and manages risk in the background. Users can check order history, enable leverage, or buy leveraged tokens with simple spoken commands.

The skills cover six modules: market data (price, K-line, funding rate), spot trading (market/limit orders, batch operations), derivatives (leverage, stop-loss, conditional orders), wealth management (flexible savings, on-chain staking), account & assets (deposit/withdraw, exchange), and advanced features (WebSocket streaming, lending, RFQ).

Security: Sandbox Testing and Key Desensitization

Bybit built multi-layered protection into AI Skills. Users can test commands on a testnet before live execution; each trade requires confirmation; large amounts trigger warnings; API keys are desensitized to avoid exposure. The exchange aims to make AI-powered trading assistants a standard offering for crypto platforms.
