ChainCatcher reported that Nasdaq-listed bitcoin mining company Canaan has released its bitcoin mining operating update for May 2026. The update disclosed several key figures from the company’s operations, including the amount of bitcoin produced through self-mining, bitcoin received through customer payments, and the company’s crypto asset reserves as of the end of May.
Self-mining output reached 90 BTC in May
According to the figures published by Canaan, the company produced 90 BTC from self-mining during May 2026. In addition to its self-mining output, Canaan reported that another 24 BTC came from customer payments. The disclosure separates bitcoin generated through the company’s mining operations from bitcoin received as payments from customers.
For crypto asset reserves, Canaan said it held 1,867 BTC and 3,952 ETH as of the end of May. The figures were included in the company’s May 2026 bitcoin mining operating update and cover its monthly mining production, customer-payment-related bitcoin, and month-end cryptocurrency holdings.
