French publicly-listed company Capital B (ticker ALCPB) is seeking shareholder approval for a mega financing plan to raise up to $5.82 billion through new shares and up to $116.4 billion via credit instruments, for a combined potential total of $122.22 billion. All proceeds would be used exclusively to purchase Bitcoin (BTC), as first reported by BitcoinTreasuries.NET, a platform tracking corporate BTC holdings.
Capital B trades on the Euronext exchange. If shareholders greenlight the proposal, it would set a corporate record for Bitcoin fundraising and position the company among the largest publicly-traded Bitcoin holders globally. The move echoes MicroStrategy’s pioneering approach and highlights the accelerating trend among public companies to adopt Bitcoin as a long-term treasury asset. The execution of such a large raise, however, remains contingent on market conditions and shareholder approval.
