Cardano organization Intersect said the Update CC 2026 governance action is set to expire on Sept. 1, with voting participation still uneven across key groups. According to the update, DRep participation has reached 66.3%, putting it close to the 67% threshold, while stake pool operator, or SPO, participation stands at just 39%, still short of the required 51% level. Intersect said failure to pass the action would leave the committee with fewer than the legally required five members. In that case, actions including treasury withdrawals and hard forks would not be able to secure approval. The organization also said that could slow or block progress on the Dijkstra and Leios upgrades. The related protocol updates are scheduled to roll out in phases during the fourth quarter of 2026. The report cited U.Today as the source.

Cardano organization Intersect said the Update CC 2026 governance action will expire on Sept. 1, with participation levels still split between the two voting groups.

DRep turnout has reached 66.3%, close to the 67% threshold. SPO participation, however, is at 39%, leaving it below the required 51% level.

Intersect said that if the action does not pass, the committee will fall below the legal minimum of five members. That would prevent approval of actions such as treasury withdrawals and hard forks, and could also hold back the Dijkstra and Leios upgrades. The related protocol updates are planned for a phased rollout in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The update was cited by U.Today.
