CARV has unveiled Cashie 2.0 with integration for the x402 protocol, positioning the product as a programmable on-chain layer that converts social engagement into verifiable economic activity. In CARV’s description, Cashie is moving beyond a social payment tool and into infrastructure that links social identity, campaign funding, and automated crypto rewards.
Social actions are tied to on-chain identity
The system is built around a campaign funding commitment, identity resolution, and modular automation. A project or KOL can commit funds to a campaign through what CARV calls an “X-Payment” proof, which is verified on-chain. The company says this flow is gasless and removes manual transfers, allowing rewards to be distributed automatically once the commitment is in place.
A central piece is identity mapping. Since standard wallets do not recognize social media handles, Cashie uses CARV ID to connect actions such as reposts or other engagement to on-chain identities. CARV describes this layer as the identity oracle between the Social Ledger and the Economic Ledger, letting rewards be assigned to verified ownership while keeping user privacy intact.
AI agents handle verification, monitoring, and payouts
Cashie 2.0 is not presented as a single-purpose bot. CARV says it runs as an AI-powered agent with modular tools that can verify and move funds, monitor and analyze social activity, select winners or confirm task completion, and deliver on-chain payouts. The company frames this as a trustless and autonomous process designed to reduce manual operations and Sybil attack vectors.
To support gasless campaigns at scale, CARV built a high-performance verifier with state and nonce tracking. Its job is to reject replayed signatures immediately, stopping duplicate settlements before gas is spent. CARV has also opened two live facilitator endpoints for developers on Base: one stateless endpoint for validating an x402 paymentPayload based on an ERC-3009 signature, and one stateful endpoint that verifies and executes settlement on-chain.
API access for other agents and support beyond ERC-3009 tokens
CARV says Cashie 2.0 aligns with its ERC-8004 vision for trustless agents. The company is exposing an API that fully implements x402, which allows other AI agents from Virtual, Base, or elsewhere to programmatically invoke Cashie to launch a campaign. In the workflow described by CARV, an agent can receive a 402 Payment Required challenge, respond with its own X-Payment proof, and autonomously fund and start the campaign.
The company also addressed token fragmentation across Web3. Not every ERC-20 supports gasless approvals or signature-based authorization, so Cashie includes a separate universal sponsorship path. A project can send a standard on-chain transfer and submit the txHash as proof, after which CARV’s system handles verification and replay protection. CARV says this broadens support across the Base ecosystem rather than limiting campaigns to tokens with ERC-3009 compatibility.
Usage plans and network figures disclosed
On the user side, CARV says people can earn crypto directly from reposts or quest-style actions without submitting a wallet in advance, with ownership checked through CARV ID. For developers, Cashie is pitched as a programmable growth layer for automated campaigns, bounties, and agent-driven incentive systems.
To push adoption, CARV has launched the Cashie Creator Campaign, allowing creators, KOLs, and projects to configure reward pools, duration, and eligibility logic, then publish a campaign through a single social post. The company says Cashie is already powering early campaigns in the Base ecosystem. CARV also disclosed broader network metrics: 8M+ CARV IDs issued, 60K+ verifier nodes, and 1,000+ integrated projects. Within that stack, the $CARV token is used for staking, governance, and coordination.
