ChangeNOW has widened its speed lead in the non-custodial swap market to an enormous margin. New benchmark data shows the platform now settles crypto swaps with a median time of under 60 seconds, while the industry median for the same pair (USDT-to-ETH) sits at 45 minutes — a roughly 45x difference.

From Minutes to Seconds: The 45x Gap

Seven months ago, Swapzone's mid-2025 speed benchmark clocked ChangeNOW at a median of roughly 1.8 minutes per swap, already fastest among eight tested platforms. Its closest rival, Changelly, trailed at around two minutes. The latest Swapzone 2026 report, based on 150,000 completed transactions, shows the industry median for a USDT-to-ETH swap is 45 minutes; ChangeNOW's median for the same pair is under 60 seconds.

Infrastructure-Level Routing Compression

Crypto markets move fast, and a 45-minute settlement window means the price can move against the user before the swap concludes. ChangeNOW tackles this with optimized liquidity routing specifically designed to compress the execution window. On high-volume pairs such as SOL/USDT and ETH/USDT, the platform consistently clears swaps before most competitors have even confirmed the incoming deposit.

Speed as a Trust Mechanism, Not Just a Feature

“At ChangeNOW, we consider speed to be a fundamental pillar of user trust,” said Pauline Shangett, Chief Strategy Officer. “Our goal is to eliminate latency as a barrier between traders and their funds, establishing near-instant settlement as the new standard for the non-custodial industry.”

When a swap closes in 60 seconds, there’s almost no window for market movement to erode the quoted rate. The rate users see is, in practical terms, the rate they get — making speed a form of certainty in an otherwise volatile environment.
