According to Techub News, citing CryptoBriefing, Charles Schwab—which oversees approximately $12.6 trillion in client assets—has officially launched 24/7 cryptocurrency futures trading on its thinkorswim platform. The offering spans Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Ripple (XRP), providing investors with near-continuous access to digital asset derivatives.
The rollout coincides with several other platform enhancements, including updated display of expected price range data for margin securities, an expanded dividend reinvestment program, and the extension of fractional share investing to most US equities and ETFs. These moves broaden the range of tradable instruments available to Schwab clients.
Separately, Citywire reports that Schwab aims to introduce spot cryptocurrency trading for financial advisors through its custodial platform by 2027. Under the plan, advisors would be able to trade spot crypto assets directly on behalf of their clients. The spot initiative signals a deepening commitment to digital assets from the brokerage giant.
