Circle said on Sept. 8 that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-headquartered B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company. The deal is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. According to Circle, Tazapay brings more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume, more than 60 banking and fintech partners, and local payment rails spanning over 100 markets. Circle also said roughly 60% of Tazapay’s transaction volume already involves stablecoins. The company said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its global pay-in and payout capabilities and support broader USDC use in cross-border business payments.
