Circle and OSL Group have deepened their partnership to expand USDC access across trading and payment networks, targeting global markets including Hong Kong. The integration embeds USDC into OSL's infrastructure for 1:1 conversions, efficient settlement, and institutional workflows.
OSL Platform: Trading Zone and Unified Margin
Through OSL Global, users can convert USD to USDC at a 1:1 fixed ratio. A dedicated USDC trading zone provides order book access with pairs including Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, USD, and USDT. USDC also serves as a unified margin asset, allowing eligible users to deploy stablecoin balances across multiple trades without collateral swaps.
Tokenized Finance: USYC Money Market Fund
The partnership extends to tokenized financial tools. OSL Global plans to offer Circle's USYC tokenized money market fund, pending regulatory approval. This ties traditional finance products to blockchain-based infrastructure, reflecting rising institutional demand for tokenized assets and continuous liquidity.
Payment Network Integration: Faster Digital Dollar Settlements
OSL integrates USDC into its payment network, enabling digital dollar transactions with faster settlement and stable pricing for cross-border activity. Executives said the move unifies fiat, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies into one system.
Native USDC Bridging: Burn-and-Mint Mechanism
Circle separately launched a native USDC bridging system using a burn-and-mint process to transfer assets between blockchains without third-party liquidity pools. The system verifies transactions before minting assets on the destination chain and handles routing and gas fees automatically.
Executive Comments: Global Real-Time Transfer Demand
OSL CEO Eugene Cheung highlighted the integration as linking fiat, stablecoins, and crypto into a single system. Circle's Kash Razzaghi noted strong demand for real-time global value transfer systems, pointing to USDC's role in enabling capital-efficient trading and settlement.
