Citrea has launched a fiat on-ramp and off-ramp for its ctUSD stablecoin through a partnership with MoonPay, opening direct fiat-to-ctUSD access for users in more than 120 countries and regions. The integration is designed to connect the Bitcoin ecosystem with the fiat system through a simpler entry route. According to the announcement cited by Techub, ctUSD is supported by M0 infrastructure and is fully backed by U.S. dollars and short-term U.S. Treasury bills. Citrea said the stablecoin is intended to provide base liquidity for Bitcoin applications. The report also noted that ctUSD’s peak supply has exceeded 24 million tokens. Citrea said the MoonPay integration is expected to lower the barrier for users entering Bitcoin capital markets.
