Stand With Crypto said supporters of the Clarity Act have contacted members of the U.S. Congress 1 million times, with only seven days left before the Senate begins its Aug. 7 recess. The group described the period as a critical window and urged advocates to keep contacting senators while Congress remains in session. Public supporters of the bill include BlackRock, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs and Franklin Templeton. At the same time, Galaxy Research cut its estimate for the bill’s chances of passing in 2026 to 30% from 50%, citing unresolved disputes, Senate voting requirements and a tightening legislative calendar. Separately, New York Attorney General Letitia James on July 27 urged Congress to strengthen crypto regulation and warned that the Clarity Act could limit state and local enforcement against fraudulent platforms.
