June and July Rate Probability Readings
For July, CME FedWatch shows a 91.3% probability that the Federal Reserve will keep rates unchanged. The probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate hike is 7.4%, while the probability of a cumulative 25-basis-point rate cut is 1.4%.
CME FedWatch is commonly used as a reference for market pricing of Federal Reserve rate expectations. Based on the figures cited in the report, holding rates unchanged remains the highest-probability outcome for both June and July, while the July distribution also includes probabilities for both a cumulative hike and a cumulative cut.
