Coinbase has rolled out a major upgrade to its Coinbase One subscription service, offering members up to 5x the token amount during platform token sales along with a 3% Bitcoin cashback reward. The initiative is designed to drive participation in the upcoming Monad (MON) token sale and boost USDC deposits across the exchange.
How to Qualify
According to the official announcement, Coinbase One members must deposit USDC into their wallets by November 17, 2026 to be eligible for the Monad token sale. Participants will also receive a 3% Bitcoin cashback on their purchase amount, paid directly in BTC. The token purchase multiplier ranges from 1.5x to 5x, depending on the user's membership tier, and applies to future token sales as well.
Geographic Restrictions and Market Impact
The program is currently available to users in the United States (excluding New York State) and the United Kingdom. Coinbase may expand to other jurisdictions based on regulatory developments. Following the news, Bitcoin rose 1.30% to $64,200, while USDC remained nearly flat at -0.01%, indicating positive market sentiment toward Coinbase's loyalty strategy.
Strategic Significance
Coinbase One, a monthly subscription costing $29.99, already offers zero trading fees, priority support, and advanced order execution. The addition of token purchase multipliers and BTC cashback significantly enhances its value proposition. Analysts believe this will lock in high-net-worth users and increase USDC adoption, as users must deposit the stablecoin upfront to qualify. Monad, a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain, is the first project to benefit from this mechanism. As more token sales adopt similar models, Coinbase One could become one of the most compelling subscription services in crypto.
