Odaily reported that Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted on X about a series of product and infrastructure updates across Coinbase. According to Armstrong, Coinbase now includes pre-IPO perpetual contracts and stock options, and will soon support tokenized stocks. The statement places those products within Coinbase’s expanding platform offering, alongside its existing crypto-focused services.

Coinbase Advanced and Global Liquidity Integration

Armstrong also said Coinbase has redesigned Coinbase Advanced. In the same update, he noted that Coinbase has begun integrating global liquidity between U.S. and international users, as well as between Coinbase users and Deribit users. The described work focuses on the trading interface and the connection of liquidity across different user groups and platforms.

For enterprise and developer services, Armstrong said CoinbaseDev is providing stablecoin payment capabilities to businesses. CoinbaseDev has also launched fully managed accounts based on its compliance technology stack, along with a new developer tools dashboard. These updates cover stablecoin payments, managed account infrastructure and a dedicated interface for developer tools.

Base Adds Private Transactions and a Web-Based Base App

On the Base side, Coinbase announced the launch of private transactions and a web version of the Base App. Armstrong included these Base updates in the same broader product message, presenting them alongside Coinbase’s trading, developer and account-related changes.

Armstrong further stated that Coinbase is becoming a financial account for AI. The capabilities he listed include providing wallets for AI agents, accessing AI-driven financial advice, and connecting Coinbase accounts to the LLMs that users commonly use. The update links Coinbase accounts with AI agents, financial advice features and large language model access within Coinbase’s stated product direction.
