According to ChainCatcher, data from CoinGlass shows that total liquidations across the cryptocurrency market reached $426 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long positions accounted for $304 million, while short positions accounted for $123 million. Liquidation data is commonly used to track the forced closing of leveraged positions during periods of price movement, and in this dataset, long liquidations were larger than short liquidations.
BTC and ETH Lead the Reported Liquidation Totals
By asset, BTC recorded $126 million in liquidations during the 24-hour period. This figure included $85.6314 million in long liquidations and $40.5747 million in short liquidations. ETH followed with $93.67 million in liquidations, including $64.9403 million from long positions and $28.7296 million from short positions. In both BTC and ETH, the reported long liquidation amount exceeded the short liquidation amount.
SOL also appeared in the CoinGlass figures cited by ChainCatcher. Over the same 24-hour window, SOL liquidations totaled $14.1397 million, including $10.5799 million in long liquidations and $3.5598 million in short liquidations. Compared with BTC and ETH, the reported liquidation amount for SOL was smaller, while the breakdown again showed a larger share from long positions.
111,791 Traders Liquidated; Largest Order on Hyperliquid
The CoinGlass data also shows that 111,791 traders were liquidated over the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation occurred on Hyperliquid, on the BTC-USD trading pair, with a value of $4.3474 million.
