ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $77.9471 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $33.1899 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $44.7572 million. Liquidation figures are commonly used to track forced closures of leveraged positions in crypto derivatives markets, and in this dataset, short liquidations exceeded long liquidations.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Liquidation Breakdown

By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations stood at $3.1839 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $12.6569 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $5.3902 million, and short liquidations came in at $6.6514 million. In both Bitcoin and Ethereum contracts, short liquidations were higher than the corresponding long liquidations during the reported 24-hour period.

Coinglass data also showed that 54,048 traders worldwide were liquidated over the same 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Bybit in the BTCUSDT pair, with a value of $2.0132 million. The figures reflect forced position closures recorded during the reporting period across crypto trading venues tracked by Coinglass.
