According to ChainCatcher, citing data from Coinglass, total liquidations across the crypto market reached $179 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $93.205 million of that amount, while short positions accounted for $85.9612 million, showing that traders on both sides of the market were forcefully closed out during the same reporting period.

For major assets, Bitcoin-related long liquidations totaled $10.7562 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $25.9777 million. Ethereum-related long liquidations came in at $11.6341 million, and Ethereum short liquidations stood at $10.718 million. The figures show liquidation pressure across both BTC and ETH derivatives positions during the latest 24-hour window.

Coinglass data also showed that 94,920 traders worldwide were liquidated over the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the BTCUSDT pair, with a value of $1.9305 million. In derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a position when an account no longer has sufficient margin to maintain it.
