ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $421 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long positions accounted for $247 million, while short positions accounted for $174 million. Liquidation data measures the scale of leveraged positions that were forcibly closed during market price movements, and the latest figures show sizable forced closures on both the long and short sides within the reporting period.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations totaled $63.086 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $16.7798 million. Ethereum long liquidations stood at $65.6147 million, and Ethereum short liquidations came in at $51.9905 million. Ethereum-related positions recorded large liquidation amounts on both sides, while Bitcoin long liquidations also represented a significant share of the overall total.
Coinglass data also showed that 103,973 traders globally were liquidated in the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the ETHUSDT pair, with a value of $9.0893 million. The figures were reported by ChainCatcher and attributed to Coinglass.
