ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total crypto contract liquidations across the network reached $218 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $120 million, while short-position liquidations totaled $98.1628 million. The figures show that both sides of the leveraged market saw liquidations during the same reporting window.
Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown
By asset, Bitcoin long liquidations stood at $19.2311 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $28.5367 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $18.7176 million and short liquidations amounted to $13.3234 million. Under this dataset, Bitcoin short liquidations were higher than Bitcoin long liquidations, while Ethereum long liquidations exceeded Ethereum short liquidations.
Coinglass also recorded 98,214 liquidated traders worldwide over the latest 24-hour period. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the BTCUSDT pair, with a value of $1.9305 million. Liquidation data tracks the scale of leveraged positions that were forcibly closed, with the reported figures sourced from Coinglass.
