ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $401 million over the past 24 hours. Long-position liquidations accounted for $275 million of that amount, while short-position liquidations stood at $126 million. Liquidation figures are commonly used to track the scale of leveraged futures positions that have been forcibly closed during market moves.

Bitcoin and Ethereum liquidation breakdown

For Bitcoin, long liquidations totaled $90.05 million, while short liquidations came in at $41.648 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations reached $73.7669 million, compared with $33.1289 million in short liquidations. In both Bitcoin and Ethereum, long liquidations were higher than short liquidations over the reported 24-hour period.

Coinglass data also showed that 97,472 traders worldwide were liquidated during the same 24-hour window. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance’s BTCUSDT trading pair, with a value of $4.9661 million. The figures were reported by ChainCatcher based on Coinglass data.
