ChainCatcher reported, citing CoinGlass data, that total liquidations across the cryptocurrency market reached $426 million over the past 24 hours. Of that amount, long positions accounted for $304 million in liquidations, while short positions accounted for $123 million. Liquidation data is commonly used to track the scale of forced position closures in leveraged trading, and the figures cited cover the latest 24-hour market window.

Long Liquidations Exceeded Short Liquidations

By trading direction, the reported liquidations were led by long positions. CoinGlass data showed $304 million in long liquidations versus $123 million in short liquidations during the same 24-hour period. Based on the disclosed figures, long-position liquidations represented the larger share of the total, meaning the value of forced closures on long trades was higher than that of short trades in this reporting window.
