ChainCatcher reported, citing Coinglass data, that total liquidations across the crypto market reached $303 million over the past 24 hours. Long positions accounted for $179 million of the total, while short positions accounted for $124 million. In crypto derivatives trading, liquidation generally refers to the forced closing of a leveraged position when margin is no longer sufficient to maintain it.
Among major crypto assets, Bitcoin-related long liquidations totaled $43.9438 million, while Bitcoin short liquidations reached $14.9106 million. For Ethereum, long liquidations totaled $34.8185 million, and short liquidations reached $54.3704 million. The data shows that both long and short positions saw sizable forced closures during the 24-hour period.
Coinglass data also showed that 85,813 traders worldwide were liquidated in the past 24 hours. The largest single liquidation order occurred on Binance in the ETHUSDT pair, with a value of $9.0893 million. The figures were published by ChainCatcher based on Coinglass data.
