CoinShares PLC, the digital asset investment and asset management firm trading on Nasdaq under the ticker CSHR, has released its fiscal year 2025 results in what marks the company’s first annual report as a U.S.-listed public company. The filing, published after its April 1, 2026 Nasdaq listing, outlines a business that continued to attract investor capital in 2025 even as crypto market volatility weighed on end-of-period asset values.

According to the report, CoinShares ended 2025 with $7.4 billion in gross assets under management. That figure was modestly lower than the $8.0 billion reported at the end of 2024. Management attributed the decline to market price movements rather than weakening client demand. Supporting that argument, the firm said it generated approximately $1.1 billion in organic net inflows during the year, indicating that fresh capital continued to enter its products despite fluctuations in digital asset prices.

Revenue Growth Led by Asset Management

CoinShares said its flagship CoinShares Physical range ranked first in Europe for net inflows in 2025, citing ETFbook data. That momentum helped lift asset management revenue by 13.1% to $126.4 million. Total revenue for the year reached $165.7 million, up 6.5% from the prior year.

The results are notable because they came during a period of intense fee competition across digital asset exchange-traded products, especially in spot bitcoin and ether ETFs in both the United States and Europe. Despite that pressure, CoinShares said it maintained a combined realized management fee yield of roughly 170 basis points. In a market where many issuers have aggressively cut fees to win market share, that level suggests the company has so far been able to preserve pricing discipline while still attracting capital.

Margins Hold Up Despite Competitive Pressure

Operating profit for the period rose 1.6% to $127.0 million. CoinShares credited the improvement to disciplined expense management, noting that operating costs actually declined by nearly 3% year over year. Segment EBITDA also moved higher, rising 5.4% to $131.3 million, which the company said reflected a healthy 66% margin across its digital asset platform.

Net income for fiscal 2025 came in at $114.3 million. While that was lower than the $162.4 million posted in 2024, the comparison was affected by one-off items. CoinShares noted that the prior year’s earnings had been boosted by a $36.8 million gain from the sale of an FTX bankruptcy claim, a non-recurring benefit that did not repeat in 2025. Excluding that effect, the latest results present a more stable picture of the firm’s underlying operating performance.

Capital Position Supports Expansion Plans

The company also emphasized its liquidity profile. CoinShares reported approximately $481.3 million in available capital, including $176.7 million in liquid assets and $280.0 million in earned but unrealized management fees tied to the XBT Provider platform. That capital base gives the company meaningful flexibility as it expands operations and product distribution across major markets.

Chief Executive Officer Jean-Marie Mognetti described 2025 as a year of accelerating platform growth. He also framed the Nasdaq listing as a major strategic milestone in CoinShares’ effort to evolve into a broader global asset management business. The move from a Nasdaq Stockholm listing to a New York listing also brought a shift in reporting standards, with the company now using U.S. GAAP. CoinShares said that change is intended to improve transparency and comparability for its new American investor base.

Europe-U.S. Strategy Comes Into Focus

Strategically, CoinShares appears to be positioning itself around regulatory readiness and geographic diversification. The company highlighted that it holds both MiFID and MiCA authorizations, giving it a strong footing in the European regulatory environment at a time when digital asset rules across the region are becoming more formalized. Those licenses may offer a practical advantage in managing cross-border crypto investment products in a compliant framework.

On the U.S. side, CoinShares said its acquisition of Valkyrie Funds has provided a foothold in the American market. With that transaction and the Nasdaq debut now complete, the firm is positioning itself to serve a broader mix of institutional and retail clients on both sides of the Atlantic. Management expects the public listing in the United States to further support that international expansion effort.

The broader message from the filing is that CoinShares is trying to balance growth, regulation, and profitability at a time when the digital asset industry is entering a more mature phase. Rather than relying solely on market direction, the company is highlighting a model that combines regulated asset management with capital markets capabilities. That approach may become increasingly important as crypto investment products continue to move into more traditional financial channels.

While the year-end AUM figure fell from 2024 levels due to market effects, the combination of strong net inflows, higher asset management revenue, and solid operating margins suggests that CoinShares entered 2026 with momentum. Its next challenge will be converting that momentum into durable growth in both Europe and the United States while maintaining fee stability and operational efficiency in an increasingly crowded market.
