Conveo, a startup moving AI from chatbots into qualitative fieldwork, has raised $50 million in a Series A round. DST Global Partners, Balderton, Visionaries, 6 Degrees Capital and Y Combinator took part, lifting cumulative funding to $55.8 million. The company plans to put the fresh capital mainly into U.S. expansion. Its platform lets consumers respond by video, voice or text, while the AI asks follow-up questions based on each answer. Hundreds of interviews can run in parallel, and the system then organizes themes, direct quotes and conclusions automatically. Research that traditionally stretched over weeks can now be returned within days in some cases. Conveo says the product has entered the research workflow of big companies: more than 400 businesses are on the platform, over 50 of them Fortune 500 names, including customers such as Google, Unilever, AB InBev and Canva. It is also turning one-off studies into an ongoing service by letting AI interview consumers continuously and stack each round’s results in one knowledge base.

Conveo, a startup using AI to conduct consumer interviews at scale, has closed a $50 million Series A. The round was backed by DST Global Partners, Balderton, Visionaries, 6 Degrees Capital and Y Combinator, and brings total funding to $55.8 million.

The money is earmarked mainly for expansion in the United States.

Follow-up questions without the script

Rather than moving down a fixed questionnaire, Conveo’s system lets consumers answer through video, voice or text. The AI reads the previous answer and asks its next question based on what the person just said. Hundreds of interviews can run at the same time, and after the sessions the platform organizes themes, verbatim quotes and takeaways on its own.

Qualitative research that used to take weeks can now be completed in days.

Inside corporate research workflows

The product has already found its way into research processes at large companies, Conveo says. More than 400 businesses use the platform, and over 50 of them are Fortune 500 firms. Customer names include Google, Unilever, AB InBev and Canva.

Conveo is also pushing beyond one-off studies by turning interviews into an ongoing operation. Its AI keeps talking to consumers over time, and findings from every round are collected into a shared knowledge base.
