cPen Network announced on July 22 that the INK token mining phase will close on July 30, 2026, at 23:59:59 UTC. One second later, on July 31, 00:00:00 UTC, a new mining phase called HATN (Human Attention Token) begins. Users must update the cPen app to version 1.3.22 or later for a smooth transition.
HATN Mining Replaces Passive Background Mode with Active Daily Claims
Under INK, a mining session remained active for 24 hours with minimal daily input. HATN abandons that model entirely. Each UTC day, users can make up to 4 claims: the first (Basic) yields a 1.0x multiplier and rewards 5 HATN; three Bonus claims follow with multipliers of 1.1x, 1.3x, and 1.5x. Only the Basic Claim is required to keep a streak alive. Vacation Days accrue at 0.02 per claim; enough saved balance automatically covers a missed day without breaking the streak. If a day is missed with zero Vacation Day balance, the streak resets, one Basic Claim is deducted, and that HATN is permanently burned.
INK Token Listing Still Unconfirmed; CPEN Underwhelms Community
INK token distribution requires completed KYC and liveness checks. The official announcement gives no confirmed listing date or price. With CPEN’s track record—a total supply of nearly 3.38 billion tokens, about 2.03 billion distributed after KYC in March 2025, and a live price near $0.0008 (FDV ~$2.8M)—many users found the return disappointing after years of mining. That sentiment now shapes expectations for INK’s eventual listing.
A Three-Phase Pattern Still Searching for Long-Term Engagement
cPen Network has now gone through three token phases: CPEN, INK, and now HATN. Each phase closed mining on the previous token before opening a new one with different mechanics. The core idea remains mobile-first, low-energy mining backed by ad-revenue-funded buybacks, burns, and ecosystem growth. The project has not indicated that HATN is a final stop, suggesting more phases could follow. Similar mobile mining projects—Pi Network, various tap-to-earn apps—have trod comparable multi-phase paths with mixed outcomes. How HATN performs with its active claims, burns, and streak system, plus how INK listing ultimately plays out, will likely dictate cPen’s next moves.
