Bitcoin BTC fell 0.8% to $67,622 as Ethereum and XRP led large-cap declines. Small caps like Power Protocol surged 74%, showing a clear divergence between major assets and lower-cap tokens.

Heavy selling swept through the cryptocurrency market in the latest session, dragging Bitcoin and major altcoins into a coordinated correction. Liquidity remained high, but price action clearly favored sellers across leading exchanges.

Bitcoin BTC traded at $67,622.35, down 0.8% over 24 hours, with volume reaching $44.27 billion. Market cap held near $1.35 trillion, though downside pressure persisted as institutional and retail traders repositioned.

Ethereum and XRP Lead Large-Cap Declines

Ethereum ETH dropped 1.3% to $2,035.27 on $22.01 billion in volume. XRP followed with a sharper 2.2% decline to $1.41, generating $3.06 billion in turnover. Sellers maintained control as these assets posted synchronized losses.

BNB eased 0.1% to $626.96, while Solana SOL fell 0.5% to $87.19. Dogecoin DOGE slipped 1.4% to $0.0985. Bitcoin Cash BCH recorded the steepest drop among majors, losing 4.5% to $480.12.

Small Caps Defy Broader Bloodbath, POWER Jumps 74%

While large caps tumbled, several smaller tokens attracted aggressive short-term inflows. Power Protocol POWER surged 74.2% to $1.91 on $40.4 million in volume. Dent DENT jumped 36.9% to $0.0003783. MYX Finance MYX climbed 30.1% to $0.4588.

Mira MIRA rose 28.2% to $0.1095, Eclipse ES gained 26.1%, and Diem DIEM added 22.8%. Terra Luna Classic LUNC gained 19.9%, while RaveDAO RAVE and Venice Token VVV rose 21.6% and 20.2% respectively.

The session highlighted a stark divergence: widespread declines among Bitcoin and major altcoins, contrasted by isolated rallies in lower-cap assets. Short-term speculative flows targeted small tokens despite the broader market weakness.
