According to ChainCatcher, CoinGlass data reveals that the total cryptocurrency market liquidations over the past 24 hours reached $525 million. Of this, long positions accounted for $387 million, while short positions accounted for $137 million, making long liquidations approximately 2.8 times the shorts.
Bitcoin (BTC) led the liquidation tally with $186 million, of which $175 million came from long positions — roughly 94% of its total. ETH followed with $102 million in liquidations, split into $88.33 million longs and $13.5 million shorts. Solana (SOL) saw $19.0023 million liquidated, with long liquidations at $18.1563 million (over 95%) and a mere $846,000 in shorts. The figures underscore a broadly bearish market environment that wiped out leveraged longs across major assets as prices declined.
