Binance Research said in its monthly market report that the total crypto market cap jumped 17.6% month over month in August, hitting $2.7 trillion. And ETF inflows put up their best showing since 2026, the report said.
Bitcoin ripped 24.8% higher over a seven-day stretch, putting it in the top 1% of weekly gains since 2020. On asset allocation, equity investors lifted their crypto exposure from 64% to 72%, while stablecoin allocations dropped by 22%. At the same time, TradFi’s share of perpetual futures trading volume slid from 40% to 20%, a plain sign that capital and trading activity moved back into crypto assets.
