According to SoSoValue, the crypto market experienced a broad sell-off in the past 24 hours, with most assets declining between 2% and 6%. BTC and ETH both broke below key support levels, while the RWA sector rose 3.48%, led by ONDO’s 11.33% gain.

The crypto market underwent a broad and sharp correction over the past 24 hours. Data from SoSoValue indicates that across the market, major assets and sector indices fell by a range of 2% to 6%. Bitcoin (BTC) slid 6.03%, dropping below the $67,000 mark, while Ethereum (ETH) fell 6.52%, slipping under $1,900. The widespread nature of the sell-off affected nearly all mainstream sectors, signaling heightened risk aversion.

AI Sector Tracks Broader Decline

The artificial intelligence (AI) sector followed suit, with an overall decline of 6.06%. Key tokens within the sector suffered noticeably: Bittensor (TAO) dropped 7.67%, and Worldcoin (WLD) tumbled by 8.17%. The AI sector, once a market hotspot, saw its correction intensify in line with the macro crypto slump, reflecting a rapid pullback in risk appetite.

RWA Sector Stands Alone in Positive Territory

Amid the widespread downturn, the Real-World Asset (RWA) sector was the sole bright spot, advancing 3.48% over the 24-hour period. Ondo Finance (ONDO) led the rally with a notable 11.33% surge, while Plume (PLUME) added 3.63%. This isolated strength stood in stark contrast to the performance of Bitcoin and other majors, suggesting a temporary rotation of capital into RWA-related tokens.

Divergence Across Other Sectors

The remaining sectors largely posted losses, though notable individual outliers emerged. The DeFi sector was down 4.35%, yet DeXe (DEXE) bucked the trend with a 23.08% surge, making it the session’s standout gainer. In the Layer1 segment, despite a 4.35% average drop, Zcash (ZEC) spiked 15.34% intraday. The CeFi sector fell 4.84%, with Binance Coin (BNB) declining 5.36%; PayFi dropped 5.09%, dragging Litecoin (LTC) down 5.6%; Layer2 suffered a 5.14% loss, and Arbitrum (ARB) tumbled 8.64%. The Meme sector lost 5.29%, but the “Binance Life” token (referred to as 币安人生) rallied 13.92%, one of the few Meme tokens to end in the green.

Crypto sector indices that track historical performance further highlighted the divide: the ssiRWA index gained 3.08%, the only index to close higher; meanwhile, ssiLayer1 and ssiAI dropped 5.79% and 6.53%, respectively, aligning with the broader market’s bearish tilt and underscoring the day’s lopsided sector dynamics.
