ChainCatcher reported that, according to SoSoValue data, crypto market sectors continued their downward trend. The AI sector fell 3.37% over the reporting period. Within that category, Siren (SIREN) dropped 21.45%, while Venice Token (VVV) declined 13.08%. In contrast to the broader AI sector move, Velvet (VELVET) posted a sharp gain of 141.11%.
NFT Sector Outperforms as BTC and ETH Edge Higher
The NFT sector stood out from the broader market, rising 29.36% in 24 hours. Within the NFT segment, Audiera (BEAT) gained 55.7%. Major crypto assets also moved slightly higher: Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.73% and traded in a narrow range around the $62,000 level, while Ethereum (ETH) gained 0.24% and remained above $1,600.
Other sector data showed a mixed pattern between sector-level performance and individual token moves. The CeFi sector was down 0.12% over 24 hours, while NEXO (NEXO) rose 3.62%. The Layer1 sector fell 1.22%, with NEAR Protocol (NEAR) down 8.22%. The PayFi sector declined 1.36%, while Monero (XMR) rose 9.25% intraday.
Layer2, DeFi and Meme Sectors Move Lower
The Meme sector declined 1.42%, though Binance Life (币安人生) remained relatively firm with a gain of 6.67%. The Layer2 sector fell 2.16%, with Optimism (OP) down 4.67%. The DeFi sector dropped 2.8%, and LAB (LAB) declined 13.78%. The figures show that several crypto subsectors were lower, even as selected individual tokens recorded gains.
Crypto sector indices that reflect historical sector performance also showed divergence. The ssiMAG7 and ssiCeFi indices rose 0.61% and 0.47%, respectively, while the ssiAI index fell 6.35%. Based on the reported SoSoValue data, AI-related assets were under clearer pressure in this set of readings, while the NFT sector recorded the strongest 24-hour sector gain among the categories cited.
