Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin posted losses over 24 hours as selling pressure spread across the crypto market. At the same time, a handful of smaller tokens surged, pointing to sharp capital rotation.

The crypto market extended its decline over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin falling to $70,987.86, down 1.1%. Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin also moved lower as selling pressure spread across large-cap and altcoin segments. The broad retreat points to weaker short-term sentiment, with traders reassessing exposure as prices slide.

Bitcoin still held trading volume above $37 billion, but that activity did not translate into sustained upside. Buyers were unable to keep momentum intact, and the asset slipped into a consolidation phase after losing support near recent levels. The pullback in BTC was milder than in several altcoins, yet the wider market tone remained soft.

Large-cap tokens retreat as Ethereum and XRP lead the downside

Ethereum dropped 3.4% to $2,179.74, reflecting broader weakness across the altcoin market. BNB declined 2.1% to $599.88, adding to the pressure on top-tier tokens. Price action showed that demand for major assets weakened as the sell-off intensified.

XRP fell 3.5% to $1.33 as trading activity slowed. Solana lost 2.6% to $82.37, while Dogecoin declined 3.4% to $0.09131. The simultaneous retreat across high-beta names suggested that traders were reducing risk rather than rotating back into the biggest coins.

Selective rallies emerge as capital rotates into smaller names

Even with the broader market under pressure, speculative activity did not disappear. TRON posted a smaller decline of 0.3%, showing more resilience than many peers. A cluster of mid- and small-cap tokens, meanwhile, recorded outsized gains and stood apart from the wider downturn.

Among the strongest movers, Xphere (XP) surged 114.6%. Aria.AI (ARIA) rose 51.2%, Enjin Coin (ENJ) added 47.3%, Magma Finance (MAGMA) climbed 39.7%, and Tradoor (TRADOOR) advanced 33.8%. Blur (BLUR), XPIN Network (XPIN), and Irys (IRYS) also posted double-digit gains.

Those isolated rallies appeared at the same time as major tokens moved lower, showing that capital rotation remained active even in a weak tape. Traders were still chasing short-term setups in selected names, but the broader market picture was still defined by fading buying pressure and a cautious consolidation phase.
